Hi Neighbor needed something to keep the celebration going
The hardest part of traveling is making sure you have adequate access to cannabis for recreational and medicinal purposes. We touched down in Phoenix Sky Harbor airport and needed to find a place to get decent flower without spending a lot of money since we would be buying on the Rec side of things. We could have arranged local connections but that would not help the majority of people. We saw ads for various dispos and “head shops” advertising, but word of mouth is the best advert you can have. The majority of the locals who consumed for medical reasons suggested Jars Cannabis. So in taking their advice we put Jars in our GPS and rushed over before they closed at 10 pm.
Was stopping here the right move?
We walked in and to your left there is a big vertical screen advertising their main specials. The store is open and lit with ample lighting and even more products on display. In the main showroom they have a product sample table where you can pick up a small nug and press a small button that shoots a puff of air around the nug so you can smell it. We walked through the queue up to the counter and we were called over by a cordial bud tender. She asked us if we had been here before and we explained to her our situation. She pointed out the specials on sale and the tiers of quality. So we went with the mid-tier line which was the Cheech & Chong. We picked up the Low Rider line which at the time was the La Bomba strain. It is a fruity, tart, and slightly gassy strain. We were not able to smell the strain as it was not out on the shelves yet. On top of that it was on sale for $35 for a half ounce. So 7 grams of mid plus raw cones for about $48 with tax is a win.
Trust in the locals
We made it a mission here at Hi Neighbor, when we travel we have to get recommendations from the locals about where to eat, go for fun, and get reasonable cannabis. We head back to The Claradon Hotel were we are staying for the weekend to finally tear into this package. The packaging is what you would expect from a licensed brand, being there is a team behind the design. The colors flow and the design is crisp. On the back it has the strain information and the usual warnings. We crack open the bag and not much smell greets us at the opening. Strange for the product being harvested only about 2 months ago………oh well. We forgot to get a grinder and the Elevations lounge in the hotel was closed so we had to go with the old fashioned finger break down. The appearance of the buds was nice and dense but turned into dust when crumbled. It had a pleasant almost fruit punch smell with a little pepper to it. It was not sticky or covered in trichomes. We broke it down and packed it into a Raw cone and proceeded to fire up.

So in our haste we forgot to bring the lighter in from the truck……… No problem the front desk had us covered with matches. Back to the scheduled program! We light it up and at first pull. PAPER! NOTHING BUT PAPER! Ok second pull was all gas so it gets passed around for the second time. This time the fruit comes out. It’s a good amount of fruit, like dried cherries, a little tart with a little bit of that orange citrus bite. The gas comes into play on the exhale where it’s more noticeable. It’s not a bad strain to chill and relax, turn on a new show and enjoy the smooth experience as the calm washes over you. It helps to provide the right amount of giggles and laughter without over stimulation. This is the perfect order for some food, hang out with friends and relax. Added plus if you have a higher tolerance you will reach a point to where the “mojo” gets to work…. Like really working! Later during our trip we were able to use the toys in the Elevations lounge during our trip which allowed us to really taste the cherry flavor.
